Scheduling your appointment
This examination is given by appointment only. To schedule your appointment, call (800) 423-5542, M-F 8am-5pm. Do not call any examination sites. If you’re calling from out-of-state, call (717) 412-5300. TDD in PA: (800) 228-0676 in Pennsylvania. TDD outside PA: (717) 412-5380.
When you call, provide the operator with your name, driver’s license number, the location where you want to take the exam, your daytime telephone number, and any special needs you may have. These needs may include a verbal examination if you cannot read; also, you should clearly state if you are disabled, so we can ensure proper access to the examination facility.
You can also schedule your exam online via the Driver & Vehicle Service website.
Important Information
You must arrive at your exam location 15 minutes early, with your notification letter (OFFICIAL NOTICE) and your valid driver’s license or other acceptable identification as described on page 18 of the handbook.
NO SPOUSES, CHILDREN, OR GUESTS WILL BE ADMITTED TO THE EXAMINATION ROOM.
