We are in stressful times – there are so many reasons to worry, struggle, and feel the anxiety with all that is going on around us and my team and I know how difficult it feels.
Although we are here for you, I’ve sent our teams home to work remotely, stay healthy, and take care of their families during this time.
I have also shared with them a few bits of advice I’d like to share with you in my hope to get us through this mess with the virus and practice some self-care.
✪ Keep a positive attitude. Accept that there are events that you cannot control and take care of those areas you can.
✪ Learn and practice a relaxation technique. Try meditation, yoga, or deep breathing for stress management.
✪ Exercise regularly. Just a few minutes of exercise (get the heart pumping) does wonders for anxiety and stress levels and helps with the next tip.
✪ Get enough rest and sleep. Your body needs time to recover from stressful events.
✪ Spend some time each day working to make yourself better. Learn a skill, take care of an obstacle, or even take a small step toward your improvement.
✪ Make time for hobbies, interests, and relaxation.
I especially like the second to last tip. If you find yourself with extra time..use that time to take even a small step toward making your life better. When this stressful situation passes, you’ll be in a better position to enjoy and appreciate whatever is next!

These are just a few of the resources I use to help with my goal to refocus and relax when stress and anxiety are knocking on the door.
