September marks the beginning of a new school year for most of Pennsylvania, so it is time to be aware that buses, school zones, and children will be active during the normal morning and afternoon times.
School zones have reduced speed limits and carry enhanced license penalties if the limits are exceeded. Use extra caution around school zones even when the reduced speeds are not active because you never know where or when a child may come running.
