Probationary License

A Pennsylvania Probationary License is granted after a minimum term of suspension after a longer suspension term. The Probationary License is intended to give relief to a prior Pennsylvania driver who has had a rocky past and has been suspended or revoked for at least five years. A probationary license allows a driver restricted privileges to hours and vehicles that can be driven. The Probationary license allows a driver to operate a motor vehicle between the hours of 6a-7p seven days a week. These hours are standard, but with the help of License Restoration Services we may be able to get you a different set of hours to meet your specific requirements.

If you have been suspended for more than 5 years due to DUI, you may be required to install an ignition interlock system in your vehicle. We can help with the application and requirements to get an Interlock Probationary License.

Probationary License Facts for License Restoration

If you have never been licensed in Pennsylvania, but have had your driving privilege suspended for more than 5 years, you can still be eligible for the probationary license.

If your license is suspended for longer than 5 years, and you still have more than 6 years of suspension remaining, you can get your full driving privileges restored after 6 years of safe driving with the Probationary License.
